The Budget Speech is the Minister of Finance’s statement of the Executive’s overall budget policy for the forthcoming year and a summary of key budget policy proposals. The Budget Speech is presented to Parliament on or before the 15th of June each year.
It typically outlines: achievements against the last financial year’s targets; the Government’s annual priority spending areas or interventions; estimated Government revenue and revenue measures; and proposals of revenue and expenditure for forthcoming year.
