Budget Monitoring Reports provide information on financial flows and implementation of government programmes against the set goals and targets that are documented in the performance contracts. These reports provide pointers on how well activities are being implemented and services are being provided. They are produced by the Budget Monitoring Analysis Unit in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, and are based on the findings of the monitoring activities of that unit.
They show: the funds received by various Spending Agencies; the utilisation levels (resource absorption capacity); implementation constraints; and issues on consistency in reporting by the various Spending Agencies.
